- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Funny, but not as good as later works imo. Got a little long.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Offensive stand-up comedy.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Al, Your books are saving my life these days. A million thanks.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Fun light hearted book poking fun at 'self help' and 'inspiration' books. Entertaining/humorous for what it was, but not much more than that. Never been super big on Franken but the book is passable enough to enjoy.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Franken addresses a number of topics in three-to-five-page humorous essays. I'm afraid I just didn't find this to be nearly as funny as a lot of other humor books I've read.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A short, sweet and succinct mock-serious guide to life. This book is divided into chapters averaging about a page so it made for a quick read. The best thing was Franken's left-leaning, dry, friendly humor. One example - his chapters had a short summary at the end, funny because they were already quite short. Franken offers advice on a variety of subjects, although he mentions that sometimes he's deliberately lying. A good suggestion - if you have a boss who likes to insult you, just pretend not to get it and make them explain the insult, tends to take all the fun out of it.
