It's natural to worry about your new baby's health, but try not to make yourself too anxious. Your antibodies are still giving her protection at this stage.
If you are breastfeeding, she will continue to benefit from them via your milk. Take care of the basics, such as washing your hands before feeding, and practicing good hygiene in your home. Most importantly, have your baby vaccinated according to the recommended schedule and attend scheduled clinic visits with your Road to Health card.

You probably expect your newborn to be all smooth and silky, but they are more often rather mottled and red.
Most skin problems are minor and will resolve easily. However, a rash can be a symptom of a more serious illness, so if you are concerned, or if your baby seems unwell or unhappy, it's best to see your doctor. Here are common skin issues your baby might experience: A red facial rash is common in babies up to a few months old. It's caused by chafing when feeding. It usually disappears on its own.
