Getting to THE BOTTOM of it

Q My 4-month-old baby has a terrible nappy rash. I have tried every remedy I can think of – baby bum cream, maizena, olive oil, rooibos tea – but nothing works. I’ve even tried letting him run around without his nappy on. The rash clears up every now and then, but then returns, and is even worse than before. What causes a nappy rash of this scale, and why is it so resistant to treatment? Please tell me if there is anything more I can do.
