First impressions

SLIPPING THE TIGHT cover from the bright orange box revealed a soft foam liner and an immaculate model of No. 56023 secured to a transport cradle. Immediately, the model’s crisp and tidy appearance formed the first of many good impressions of the first Cavalex Models diesel locomotive.

Exquisite levels of detail applied to a correctly proportioned bodyshell revealed that Cavalex Models has a winner on its hands. It represents exceptional value priced at £190 for a DCC-ready version, including working cooling fans and sophisticated electronics.
