While it was used to reshape the silhouette, by increasing the size of the breasts and buttocks, fat is emerging as the new yellow gold for volumising (micrografting) or regenerating (nanografting) the face. A breeding ground for stem cells, it is taken with a very fine cannula from the inner surface of the knees, thighs or hips, purified then reinjected into the face, under local anaesthesia or sedation: either in depth to fill the hollows of dark circles, nasolabial folds or temples, or superficially in the dermis to erase spots, improve the quality of the skin
