The model

HORNBY has done an excellent job with its brand-new model of the classic four-wheel monobloc tank wagon. It very much looks the part, with some very fine detailing.

Hornby states that the new model will allow it to produce, as closely as possible, much of the 45t/46t four-wheel tank wagon fleet. Although some changes will be made to reflect different builds of the wagon type as seen with No. ESSO 56046, it seems to be heading towards a one-size-fits-all platform where the underframe is concerned.
