Cut and shut wagon: The HRA aggregate hopper

DB CARGO UK has undertaken a programme to shorten the HTA coal hopper wagon fleet it inherited from EWS, to adapt them for aggregate traffic. Effectively, one bay was removed from the middle of the wagon and the remaining sections welded together, reducing its length and the risk of overloading. Thus, the cut-down version of the HTA was created and recoded as HRA.
