I CANNOT understand why these “colour budgies” have become so popular so quickly. Well, I can, but it’s a surprise to me that they are still gathering momentum. What do they offer? They are inexpensive. They breed easily. And, although they are becoming popular at shows, there is not the same competitiveness as there is with our standard exhibition birds.
