While they look tasty, the ingredients list is long and complicated, and you end up buying items you will only use once before they go off.

For families, convenience or processed food can sometimes seem like the easier and cheaper choice.

It begs the question – can we be healthy on a budget?

In 2022, 7% of the UK population and 12% of children lived in food poverty, according to a report by Parliament.

And in June last year, 17% of households were food insecure – meaning they ate
