BRITAINS

In 1/32 scale from Britains comes a JCB 3CX Plus Sitemaster backhoe loader [7], priced at £37.99. The Plus has a 4.8-litre 81kW engine, compared to the standard Sitemaster ECO 3.0-litre 55kW engine. It automatically switches from 4WD to 2WD when not needed to reduce tyre wear and fuel consumption, with an on-road maximum speed of 47km/h (29mph). The model’s front loader can be raised and lowered with the bucket able to tip independently as well as the rear excavator.

In the same scale is Britains’ John with an RRP of £32.99. The 4450 was built from 1983-88 and was the best-selling model of John Deere’s 50-series tractors, accounting for 20% of sales. They had a 7.6-litre six-cylinder diesel engine. The Caster Action front-wheel drive system was introduced on these tractors which enabled the front wheels to angle up to 13 degrees, allowing sharper turn angles and larger front tyres to be used.
