The Bath House

A HERITAGE-LISTED CORNER BUILDING straight out of 1940s Alice Springs has found a collection of desert dwellers to bring it to life with some love, creativity and a healthy dose of friendship. Meet The Bath House: Zak, Em, Kiri, Nelson and Zoya – five artists who call Alice Springs home and this ramshackle house their artistic haven.

The Bath House sits on the corner of Bath Street and Stuart Terrace on Arrernte Country in Mparntwe (the Arrernte name for Alice Springs). Close to the centre of town, the building is nestled into an area littered with sites of significance for Arrernte people, including Akeyulerre across the road, a Dreaming place where a healing centre now resides.
