FIR TREE HANGING WREATH

Here’s how

STEP 1 Photocopy to enlarge Fir tree pattern (see opposite), as instructed. Glue each pattern to scrap card, then follow the outline of each to cut and create two half fir tree templates.

STEP 2 For each fir tree, fold a 5cm-wide piece of paper in half lengthwise. Place your template on top, line up the folded edge of the paper with the straight side of the template, then use the pencil to trace the tree shape. Cut out the fir tree and unfold. Using both templates, make a total of about 45–50 fir trees in this manner. NOTE: If you use a larger ring, you’ll need to cut more paper trees.

STEP 3 Wrap the ring with crepe paper streamer until covered. Hot glue ends in place to secure.

STEP 4 Hot glue assorted paper fir trees around the ring, overlapping the fir tree ‘branches’ as you go.
