BACK TO BLONDE
Celebrity stylist Massimo Tirimacco, recently took marie claire cover star Teresa Palmer’s copper tones back to blonde. We asked him how he went about a colour reversal. “Teresa went copper for a movie role but then we started to go lighter again,” he says. “I began the gentle process in highlighting her hair, moving towards a honey blonde. Now she’s back to that beautiful Teresa Palmer blonde.” Here, Tirimacco shares his tips on returning to blonde.
LIGHTEN UP “You can go blonde in one sitting if the hair is healthy, virgin hair, but often it is a process that may take two to three appointments,” says Tirimacco. “If your hair is damaged and you want to go lighter, it’s important to look after your hair with the right products first.” Tirimacco gave Palmer L’Oréal Professionnel Metal Detox products to keep her locks healthy as she went lighter. “It helps to detoxify the hair of all the impurities,” he says.
