MATERIALS

• 30 x 60cm stretched quality canvas
• 2B pencil
• Art Spectrum series 1000-F flat bristle brushes (Sizes 6 and 10)
• Art Basics Taklon flat bristle brushes (Sizes ½, 3/8, 1/4 , 3/16 & 1/16)
• Atelier Interactive Acrylics: Titanium White, Yellow Ochre, Naples Yellow, Naples Yellow Reddish, Arylamide Yellow Deep, Red Gold, Pacific Blue, Cerulean Blue, Paynes Grey, Olive Green, Green Black, Burnt Sienna and Burnt Umber.
• Atelier Fine Mist Water Spray Bottle.
• Rainwater for mixing.

METHOD

When I start thinking about a painting I look for the key subject and then a supporting subject. The key subject is the ‘action’ figure in the painting and the supporting object portrays the location and feel of what the key figure is doing there.
