t was great to be reunited with an engine that left the UK in 1986 and headed to The Netherlands. Known to many of us as , the engine is now called after the current owner’s mother. The current owner John de Fongh being the famous windmill restorer. The 1924 Marshall 10 ton No. 77479 steam roller was new to Dingles of Stoke Climsland, Cornwall. They sold the engine in 1966 to G James, St Columb, Cornwall who converted her to a traction engine I believe. Looking at the engine closely the front axle and perch bracket is Marshall, but what do the front wheels come from?
