WHITE ROSE OF YORK/THE GRIFFIN STARS AT ABBEY HILL

As one of the first big rallies of the season, Abbey Hill is always a good barometer of things to come. Held over four days from Friday 28 April to bank holiday Monday 1 May, there was much to show this was still true.

The organisers worked hard to ensure the show ran smoothly, especially after heavy rain on the Thursday before the opening day. The official programme listed 34 full-size engines, 55!
