DIY Pantry Staples

STAPLE

TACO SEASONING MIX

Makes about 1⅓ cups

½ cup chili powder
¼ cup ground cumin
¼ cup dried oregano
¼ cup paprika
2½ tablespoons kosher salt
2 to 4 teaspoons ground red pepper, to desired taste
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons ground black pepper

1. In a medium bowl, whisk together all ingredients. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Stir well before using.

STAPLE

RANCH SEASONING MIX

Makes about 1½ cups

1 cup powdered buttermilk
2 tablespoons kosher salt
2 tablespoons dried parsley
2 tablespoons dried dill
2 tablespoons dried chives
2 tablespoons kosher salt
4 teaspoons dried thyme
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder

1. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients. Store in an airtight container up to 1 month. Stir well before using.
