The Nether is the most hostile of Minecraft’s three dimensions. Getting there is easy: you simply build a portal frame of obsidian blocks, light the interior with a flint & steel, then step through the portal. But once you’re there you have to survive, and that’s much more difficult!
Before you enter a portal, make sure you’re stocked up with armour and weapons – not to mention the portal building supplies you can use to get back if you’re lost! Food and wood are scarce and water evaporates immediately, so keep a few supplies with you too.
NETHERRACK
