“Starry Path is one of the very traditional blocks, made of smaller and larger half-square triangle units. In this design, I’ve separated out the dark blues and blacks for the larger pinwheels and kept the red, mustard, orange and brown prints for the smaller HSTs. The whole design is set on point, which means the blocks are laid out at a 45° angle – creating a diagonal grid in the finished design. While this is one of the simplest quilts I’ve designed, it’s also one of my favourites of recent months. Something about the contrast between the dark black and navy fabrics
