Freezer paper is a popular tool used in sewing and patchwork to help with appliqué designs that has progressed to being used for foundation paper piecing. By ironing on the un-waxed side of the freezer paper you soften the waxed side that is next to the fabric so it sticks temporarily. When it is gently pulled away, it leaves no residue. In this project, the freezer paper method is used as there are a couple of advantages over the traditional FPP technique: easy paper removal and the ability to reuse the foundation paper. You can reuse the freezer paper approximately eight times, which makes it quite economical. If you do not want to use this method, any FPP method will work with the foundation.
