This quilt was made as Chris' annual entry in to the 2022 QuiltNSW quilt show. We spied it hanging at the show and immediately asked if she would share it with Quilters Companion readers. It was professionally machine quilted by Birgit Hoffman of Black Sheep Quilting and it was entered in the Pieced Quilt — Two Person category — taking home a third place.

• Fat quarter each of 12 light grey tone-on-tone print fabrics (block backgrounds)• 6in square each of 12 novelty print fabrics featuring a printed motif (block centres)• 144 rectangles, 3½in x 5in of bright print fabrics (blocks)• 384 squares, 3in of bright print fabrics (border hexagons)• 90cm• Fat eighth orange print fabric (cornerstones)• 2m (2¼yd) mid grey tone-on-tone print fabric (border)• 70cm (¾yd) colourful stripe print fabric (binding)• 5.2m (5¾yd) backing fabric• Batting at least 250cm x 205cm (100in x 80in)• Pre-cut 1in hexagon papers for English paper piecing (optional)• Template plastic, stiff paper/light card and fine permanent-marking pen• Fabric glue (optional)• Spray starch• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat• Sewing machine with ¼in foot• General sewing supplies
