Just a bit more time

Gazing down at my newborn daughter Sienna sleeping in her crib, I smiled.

‘She looks peaceful,’ I said to my partner Albert, 33.

When I fell pregnant it had been a surprise, but after getting over the shock Albert and I were thrilled.

At just three weeks old, Sienna was already such a happy little girl, and she had changed our lives for the better.

My older daughter Maddison, now 10, doted on her baby sister.

One evening Albert was doing her night feeds, so I kissed her goodnight before heading off to bed myself, where I quickly drifted off into a peaceful slumber.
