The support and cooperation of women is indispensable for the progress of society and so their welfare needs sincere care. CM Stalin resolutely stood by his promise by launching a slew of initiatives in their favour. From September 15, 2023, onwards Rs.1,000 will be disbursed every month to needy women under the Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme. To support livelihood of lakhs of women 8,57,949 Self Help Groups were provided Rs.47,034 crore as bank loan. Free bus travel is another initiative for easy mobility of women with no burden off are as a result of which women travelled 276 crore times free of cost at Rs.4,426 crores. The same convenience was extended to transgenders who travelled 15.87 lakh times incurring a cost of Rs.254 crore to the exchequer. They saved Rs.888 per month on bus fare. To incentivise higher education, the Pudhumaipenn thittam worth Rs 350 crore benefitting 2.09 lakh girls and Chief Minister’s free breakfast scheme aimed at providing nourishment to growing Children.

The scheme Naan Mudhalvan serves as vibrant platform providing industry related information to skill students of educational institutions which benefitted 8,11,879 Arts & Science College students and 4,60,734 Engineering College students. It is aimed at creating industry ready workforce in a state that is industry intensive state. To generate employment for the educated youth of the state, 1241 jobs fairs were held which created 1,44,961 jobs in private companies. It has empowered the youth economically, besides offering their industry specific expertise.

Recreating Tamil Nadu’s history for posterity is the Keeladi Archeological Museum that showcases artefacts recovered from excavations of the archaeological sites in the state. Built at a cost of Rs 18 crores, this state-of-art museum is embedded with modern technology
