GLORY OF 2 YEARS OF TAMIL NADU’S GROWTH REVERBERATES ALL AROUND

The Tamil Nadu Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, has made significant strides in its first two years of governance, delivering on several promises made in the election manifesto. Following are some of the key milestones achieved over the past two years across various sectors.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

In terms of women’s development, the Government has announced anew scheme, the Magalir Urimai Thogai, which provides Rs 1,000 cash assistance to women starting September 15, 2023, with an allocation of Rs 7,000 crore. Additionally, the Government has provided bank loans amounting to Rs. 47,034 crore to 8,57,949 Self-Help Groups.

Under the Pudhumaipen Thittam, the Government has provided higher education incentives to 2.09 lakh girls at a cost of Rs 350 crore. The Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme has benefitted 18 lakh children with an allocation of Rs 500 crore.

Further more, the Government has made bus travel free for women, resulting in 276 crore trips at a cost of Rs. 4,426 crore, and 15.87 lakh trips for transgenders at a cost of Rs. 234 crore. The Government has also launched the Naan Mudhalvan upskilling platform for youth skill development, which has benefitted 8,11,879 arts and science college students and 4,60,734 engineering college students. In the field of culture, the Government has built the Keeladi Archaeological Museum in Sivaganga District at a cost of Rs 18 crore.

The Government has also made strides in industrial growth and employment, with 222 Memorandum of Understandings, Rs. 2,72,322 crore investment, and 4,09,651 employments. Under health and family
