BEHIND THE QUILT
SEASONAL LANDSCAPES
“This miniature quilt project uses shadow appliqué, where the design shapes are glued in place, a transparent fabric is placed over the design, and it is quilted. It is a quick and easy technique that enables you to produce a small-scale design without having to fuse or appliqué each shape individually. The glue holds the design in position, the net secures it and the quilting fixes everything in place. It is a great way to use up small pieces of fabric you may have leftover from other projects.” – Julia Gahagan
