Mark and Laurell both love books and didn’t want to get rid of this old shelving unit which used to store the post at the Germiston Post Office in Gauteng. They had a workbench made to support it and clad the legs with timber and incorporated old hardware to give it a vintage feel. The wire rhino sculpture was purchased at a flea market in Wilderness; Mark added the beads and fairy lights. Laurell bought the guitar in the hope that someone in the house will learn to play it!

EXTERIOR

Laurell knew she wanted a dark finish for the house and Paintsmiths Hoop Iron proved to be just right. It was mixed in Envirolite Fresco, a textured paint that requires a special application technique
