Porter honed his skills at SVC

To say Antonio Brown helped Joey Porter Jr. make it to the Steelers is a stretch. To say AB helped JP Jr. make it to Penn State is not.

Here’s the story behind the middle part of his journey:

“I was 16 going on 17,” said Porter, a former ballboy with the team for which his famed father, Joey Porter Sr., coached outside linebackers at the time.

So, as a coach, he let his son work on the field during Steelers down times, and Brown was an enthusiastic supporter.
