RAINY DAY BOW HUNTS

It’s Saturday, your one day to hunt all week. Bow season is winding down and you still haven’t taken a shot. But after you slap your alarm at 5 a.m. and think about your next move, you hear the soft patter of rain on your roof. Like it or not, you are facing one of bowhunting’s biggest dilemmas: Do you hunt in the rain?

The answer depends on a number of factors, not the least of which is your dedication. Plenty of hunters are just as happy to sit this one out and take care of a few chores around the house. There’s always next Saturday or next season. But for many die-hards, sleeping in just isn’t an option. But should it be?
