A trio of four wheelers: Vredo VT4556 SlurryTrac

Kent-based FGS Agri and FGS Organics have a long-established history of operating self-propelled muck and slurry application rigs. In the mid 1990s the business’ founder – Trevor Heathcote – started running a single Big-A spreader. A decade later he invested in a fleet of Terragators and since then the business has had all manner of machines.

Today, sister-companies FGS Agri and FGS Organics run a total of six self-propelled solid spreaders and a further three dedicated liquid applicators. These include Ploeger and Vervaet five-wheelers, Claas Xerion 5000 with 28m3 Kaweco tanker and a quartet of Vredo fourwheelers – two with manure bodies and two with tanker packs, trailing shoe applicators and disc injectors. On top of that tractor-drawn spreaders, tankers and umbilical rigs help to further spread the business’ reach. The collective array of spreaders, liquid and solid, allows the team to pick ‘the right tool for the right job in the conditions’.
