A trio of four wheelers: Vervaet Quad 550

It’s over a year since the Fraser family took delivery of their Vervaet Quad 550 with its 22m3 tank and 32m Vogelsang dribble-bar and in its short life it’s clocked some 900 hours. Developed for users where running down crops with three or five tyres is considered bad form – the four-wheeled Quad that joined the Dorset operation’s fleet was one of the first machines to come off the production line.

“Having made the decision in the back end of 2021 to go with Vervaet we had a bit of a wait for our own machine and so they sent us their prototype,” explains Jonny Fraser. “We ran it from January to late April last year and it gave us a good opportunity to see how the product developed over that time, knowing our Quad would have all the updates and tweaks from new.
