HIS 'PERFECT' TRUCK

A1965 Ford F100 that needed some help turned out to be exactly the pickup that Craig Case had been hoping to find. “A friend of mine actually picked it up,” said Case, “and I went to his house, looked at it, saw that it had a V-8 and it had the eight-foot box, and that’s what I wanted.”

More specifically, Case wanted to restore such a truck without any modifications that would change its character. The idea, he explained, was to experience what someone driving the Ford in 1965 would have experienced. With that thought in mind about six years ago, the F100 was an excellent choice, thanks to its combination
