With a combination of work and preparations for moving abroad preventing me from getting to either Whitby or Tenby, the A2 Aces Rally in Northern Ireland was shaping up to be our first ‘proper’ scooter rally of the year. Historically, this rally is well attended by our club (Animals Fae Naboombu SC) and we’ve won the best turned-out club at several previous rallies. Due to a combination of much higher ferry prices, uncertainty with Covid travel and P&O deciding to sack all its staff, only four of us ended up booking the crossing this year.
