A very special GP

In 2019 Marcus Metcalfe was searching on social media for a suitable machine to restore. “I found a GP, XDN 48J, which Tom Petch, who lives in York, was selling,” he explained. “I went to see it and basically it was a bare frame with a few parts in a box; I had to concede that it was a project beyond my capabilities.” In the meantime, others were interested and Chris Tindal eventually became XDN’s new owner. Having completed a basic restoration, Chris stumbled across a GP Electronic that he’d previously owned and which he eagerly bought back.

With his attention firmly focused on bringing his former steed back to life, XDN became surplus to requirements. Once again Marcus saw XDN up for sale and having viewed the work that had been completed, he felt that the project was now within his capabilities. A deal was struck and XDN passed into his ownership.

Moving Targets: Rennie Innocenti
This is a bit of a strange book on many counts. Despite weighing in at less than a hundred pages, it manages to pack in an authentic-feeling tale of the rise and fall of a scooter club in the early to mid 80s, a love story, a murder, poetry and a tal
