’m marching through a beaver-infested lowland. My mission here is to eliminate the beavers so the land-owner can retrieve their property. I’ve found an old ditch plugged nearly to the top with a beaver dam. Before the days of the beavers, these simple ditches had drained the lowlands and allowed for farming on that ground. It didn’t take the repatriating beavers long to follow the flow of the water, find those ditches, and plug them up.
