GOING BLIND FOR PREDATORS

For the most part, trappers rely on some sort of attractor to bring in animals to their sets. Oftentimes for predators, flat sets and dirt-hole sets are the go-to choice amongst trappers. Rarely do trappers rely solely on blind sets when targeting predators. Why is that? Since many trappers are not skilled enough to rely solely on blind sets. It would take one heck of a woodsman to only use blind sets and catch a lot of fur. With that being said, if you are not using blind sets some of the time, you are missing fur.

The key to successfully being able to use blind sets is knowing the habits of the furbearers you are targeting and being able to read the land. Just like with making any set, if the animals are not there, I guarantee you will not catch them. I do not care how good your set is, whether it is a dirt-hole or a blind set, you have to have your trap in an area an animal has been in the past or will want to
