FISH and CHIPS
SERVES: 4 / PREPARATION TIME: 10 MINS / AIR FRYER TEMPERATURE: 190°C / COOKING TIME: 20-22 MINS
It only takes a few minutes to cook fish in the air fryer. Use any fish you like, but salmon trout is especially good as it's an oily fish, so it stays succulent and delicious. If you’re using hake or another white fish, just make sure you don’t overcook it.
45ml (3T) olive oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
15ml (1T) lemon juice
5ml (1t) dried oregano
1ml each sugar, ground pepper and paprika
800g salmon, trout or fish fillets of your choice
oven-baked chips
TO SERVE
lemon wedges
mayonnaise or tartar sauce
1 Mix the oil, garlic, lemon juice, oregano and other seasoning ingredients together and spread over the fish. Set aside to marinate while you cook the chips.
2 Preheat the air fryer to 190°C. Cook the chips in the air fryer for 10 minutes or until crisp, tossing once halfway through the cooking time.
