WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN

I’d like to think that most of you who pick up this illustrious magazine do so because you like seeing these glorious motor cars of yesteryear. You look at them and remember owning one just like it, or perhaps mum and dad owned something similar just after they were marrie Whatever little memories are prodded to the front of your mind, I can guarantee it’s because the car you are looking at and reading about is recognisable. More than likely it was made by the thousand, and in its heyday might well have been quite unremarkable when seen on the street.

The car we have featured over these few pages is no different, surely? Well, it is an Eastern European Fiat 125p, or Polski Fiat as it was generally known, and no doubt you recognise it. Plenty of them were built after all, but look again because there’s something more than a little different about this one, perhaps even a little unusual.
