There are several reasons why I am interested in LPG, or Autogas. The Bonneville and the Mini Marcos have small and economical engines, as does the daily shopper, but most of my classics have engines of four litres and above. The 1947 Bentley gets pretty good mileage for a heavy car of 4¼-litres at slightly over 20mpg on a leisurely run, and the brewing injected 4.4-litre R-Type Bentley alloy-bodied special with low weight and high gearing might get closer to 30mpg. I have quite a light foot unless in a silly mood or on a racetrack. However, bad news
