For Danny Keane, the Capri is something that’s always held a special place in his heart. “I fell In love with the model – and the 3.0S in particular – having owned a couple in my late teens and early twenties,” he recalls. “The Mk2 was the first, and I guess like many first loves they stay with you forever. The thing that made the Capri special for me, other than its looks and unique over-thebonnet view, was the Essex engine which gave the car its character, with the V-engine soundtrack and effortless power. So when I was in the position to buy another Capri years later, it had to be a Mk2 and it had to be a 3.0S.”
