Lenovo’s ThinkPad range needs no introduction, but this may be the first review of a ThinkBook you’ve read. That’s despite the first ThinkBooks being launched in 2019. The conceit behind the range is to allow Lenovo to extend the “Think” brand to small businesses with more competitive prices, shorter product lifespans and lower prices.

The latter may not be obvious from the £793 excluding VAT price of the system on review, but at the time. Let me place my cards on the table now: I don’t think the ThinkBook 15 makes sense once you go up the price range, and for two reasons.
