Humming along to the tune, I snuggled into my covers, at the end of 2018, as the familiar soap opera actors flashed on the screen.

Yet, I couldn’t make out what they were saying.
So, turning the volume up to what I thought was a normal level, I heard a commotion outside my room.
‘Demi! Turn that TV down,’ my mum Kerry, 55, screamed from downstairs.
It was like a scene from going on in my own household!
