A Samburu woman necklace, which denotes her married status. The photographer, (1936-2022), brought a deep understanding of the Samburu people to the world, documenting their culture in his epic work , which has been in print since 1991. We salute his lifetime’s work producing this and other books that celebrate Africa’s rich cultural heritage.
