Avocados are a great source of monounsaturated fats and vitamins, with one half counting towards your 5-A-Day. which also found that those who ate an avocado daily had better quality diets throughout the study period. ‘This is important because we know a higher diet quality is associated with lower risk of several diseases, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes and some cancers,’ say the researchers.
