SOUTH LOUISIANA IS FERTILE GROUND, its swampy landscape home to everything from soulful zydeco music to mouthwatering gumbo and étouffée. Once a year, a town in the heart and soul of Cajun country puts on a festival celebrating these long-standing cultural traditions.

Since its beginning in 2005, the Blackpot Festival has been luring visitors to Lafayette, Louisiana, for one of autumn’s most exciting events, and our team set out to see what this popular festival was all about.
