IT ALL STARTS so optimistically, right? The patch. The plan. The trays of gorgeous seedlings. But I ask you: are you really a gardener unless you’ve had some epic garden fails? I like to refer to them as heroic failures. Grand lessons.
My garden failures are many and monumental because I live with an ideology of failing like you mean it. It’s not always that my garden ambition simply outstrips there are external forces. I’m working with misbehaving piglets, escaping goats and determined cows – but, let’s face it, sometimes it’s just wild incompetence on my part.
