Create links for specific parts of a web page

When I first started writing the newsletter for my rugby club, I used to include links to web pages, but often the text I was referring to would be halfway down the page or difficult to spot. Then I learned a trick in Chrome that lets you link to a specific part of a page so that clicking it takes you straight there.

You may need to activate this option by typing chrome://flags in your browser’s bar, then Copy Link To Text in the ‘Search flags’ box. If you see this option, select Enabled then restart your computer. If not, you’ve already got this option built into Chrome.

Either way, open a web page and highlight the text
