Nadia Sawalha knows all too well the life-changing impact diabetes can have on those it affects and the people around them.

“My dad was diagnosed with diabetes 30 years ago, so I have seen what it takes to manage it,” the 57-year-old Loose Women star tells HELLO!. “For years I was a presenter for City Hospital and had so many conversations with doctors about how terrifying the strain would be on the NHS if more of us get diabetes, so it has always been of great interest to me.”
