Gas barbecues

Barbecues in the garden are a highlight of summer and a gas barbecue can make alfresco entertaining quick, stress-free and easy. Unlike charcoal barbecues that need time to heat up and can take a bit of skill to light and keep going, a gas barbecue is ready to cook at the switch of a button. Easy to control and keep at an even heat across the grill, they make little mess, cook without smoke and are available with a host of extra features for those who want to take their open-air cooking to the next level.

There’s a huge range of gas barbecues on the market and prices can vary from well under £200 to over £2,000 for aficionados who, who contributed invaluable expertise on usability and cooking performance to test 11 gas models. The barbecues ranged from one burner to four and a number also included a side burner for the price.
