Kiwi cereal queen ‘THE SECRETS TO MY SUCCESS'

Many kids grow up reading about boy wizards and pony clubs. But not Kaz Staples, whose childhood was spent with her nose firmly stuck in a cookbook.

“I’ve been obsessed with food and baking from a young age,” recalls the 54-year-old. “I would even read cookbooks in bed and plan what to bake next.”

That love of all things edible led Kaz to start gourmet food company Pure Delish in her Auckland kitchen. Specialising in premium cereals and baked goods, Kaz and her husband David Malcolm eventually grew the brand’s turnover to $10
