Here’s to you, Mrs Robinson

Cecilia Robinson talks fast. Ten-to-the-dozen, words-sliding-into-each-other fast.

But that’s a good thing, because the entrepreneur and businesswoman has just under an hour available for her interview with Woman, and there’s a lot of ground to cover.

There’s Tend, the new venture she and husband James have launched, which they hope will revolutionise healthcare in New Zealand; their history as the founders of the mega-successful My Food Bag; her personal story of being a teenager who left her native Sweden to see the world; and how tragedy in her life inspired her to help others.

Cecilia has achieved a lot in her 35 years, and seems to be living life at the same breakneck speed at which she talks (in flawless English, by the way, with just a hint of an accent).

Along with getting Tend off the ground, there’s full-on family life – she’s mum to Thomas, eight, and Leila, four. She’s still a director at My Food Bag although she and James sold most of the company four years ago), as well as a director of Pie Funds, a finance-management company. Then there’s the mentoring she does for a couple of Kiwi businesses, her role as a trustee for the Prince’s Trust charity in New Zealand and the motivational speaking gigs, which she says she’s had to cut back on this year because, as she
